Soon you’ll have a way to deal with those pesky counselors on the roof of Packanack Lodge.
A pretty big glitch has been discovered and abused lately in Friday the 13th: The Game that allows players to get on the roof of buildings, which obviously makes them safe from Jason unless he is an expert throwing knife user and has an endless supply.
While a fix to this bug and other exploits is still being worked on, the developers are implementing a long overdue feature that will allow players to report others who are abusing these glitches.
Sure, it’s cool to see everyone on top of Packanack Lodge once, but when it becomes a trend, it’s no longer fun and sucks the joy out of the game for others.
Currently, the only way to report other players is through the platform itself, whether it’s Steam, Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. This method probably doesn’t do a whole lot for Friday the 13th, so the Gun Media and Illfonic are hoping to remedy that situation by adding in the report feature.
There’s no timetable on when it’s coming or how this feature will work. A patch is scheduled to drop soon so it could be coming with that.
Friday the 13th: The Game has experienced a rocky start, to put it lightly, and the developers have attempted to make it up to us by offering a free Retro Jason skin, based on the 1989 NES look, and having a double XP event this weekend.
Some known bugs are still out there such as counselors standing on top of cars, out of Jason’s grasp, and Jason being stunned off the map.
The game just turned a month old and the developers are still hard at work ironing out the bugs, which is a good sign. The game has come a long way since launch but it still has a long way to go before it reaches where it wants to be.
