Nintendo eShop: What’s New For 8/10/17

Today’s Thursday and that means the Nintendo eShop is updating yet again. This means players will see new games pop up on their store as well as several titles being discounted. The Switch is receiving a semi-big release before the eShop updates next Thursday in Sonic Mania so that headlines this week’s eShop update.

Sonic Mania is a new 2D Sonic adventure that is a clear callback to Sonic’s younger years. Everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog is 26 now and he’s endured a lot of growing pains. Sonic Mania looks to bring the series back to its glory days. Check out our 5 fast facts on Sonic Mania if you want to learn more. The title releases August 15.

For Nintendo 3DS owners, Monster Hunters Stories might be of interest. It isn’t a traditional Monster Hunter title but instead is a turn-based RPG. Players will be able to check out a demo of this title before it receives a Western release.

Fire Emblem Heroes is also receiving a lot of changes this week in the form of events. Players will be able to look forward to new log-in events, a Hero Fest, and more with the new update. You can read more in-depth about the changes here.
