Bellator Fighting Championships has signed a groundbreaking new television deal with Fox Sports Net, NBC and Telemundo.
The upstart promotion will move from ESPN Deportes, the Spanish-language version of the popular sports network, for the next two seasons. Full live events will air on Thursday nights on Fox Sports Net, with highlight packages being showcased on NBC and Telemundo on Saturday nights.
The deal begins with the first episode of season two, which will air live on April 8. The two-hour live events will air at 8pm ET/PT. NBC and Telemundo will carry highlight-reel packages on Saturday that showcase the best moments from each weekly live event.
Bellator’s second season is expected to crown champions in the heavyweight and light heavyweight division using the same tournament format as the first season.
