ARCO Arena in Sacramento will host next Friday’s official fighter weigh-ins for “Aldo vs. Faber.” The weigh-ins will begin at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. local time).
“Aldo vs. Faber” is a WEC event with a UFC flavor. The full UFC production team will be on hand for the WEC’s first-ever PPV event, including announcers Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan and ring announcer Bruce Buffer.
The festivities prior to the weigh-ins will borrow heavily from the UFC format as well. Mike Goldberg will host a Q&A session with top middleweight contender Chael Sonnen, and WEC stars Dominick Cruz, Joseph Benavidez and Josh Grispi will sign autographs during the afternoon autograph session from 12-2 p.m.
“Aldo vs. Faber” is headlined by a featherweight title bout between champ Jose Aldo and former champ Urijah Faber. Ben Henderson and Donald Cerrone will also meet in a rematch of their 2009 fight of the year candidate.
“Aldo vs. Faber” takes place next Saturday night and will be available exclusively on pay per view.
