UFC announcer and part-time pro poker player Bruce Buffer cashed in during the 2010 World Series of Poker main event.
The event, considered the most prestigious Texas Hold Em’ tournament in the world, was held at Las Vegas at the Rio. All entrants must pay a $10,000 buy-in for a chance at the $8.94 million top prize and $68.8 million in overall prizes.
Buffer finished 478th out of 7,319 entrants in the tournament and earned $27,519 for his efforts. He was eliminated when a fellow player flopped quad 8’s to best his pocket aces.
Buffer is the host of the Bruce Buffer Poker Room at the Luxor Casino in Las Vegas.
