Dustin Hazelett
UFC lightweight Dustin Hazelett has been released from the promotion following a loss to Mark Bocek at UFC 124.
MMAWeekly.com first reported the news on Tuesday. Heavy.com confirmed the story with sources close to the promotion.
Hazelett went 5-5 during his time with the UFC, but earned two “Submission of the Night” awards during his tenure. He recently dropped to lightweight after a failed stint at welterweight, but the submission loss to Bocek was the final straw for his current UFC career. It was his third loss in a row following losses to Paul Daley and Rick Story.
