Couture returns against Higgins at Strikeforce Challengers 14
Ryan Couture is set to return to action for his second professional fight at Strikeforce Challengers 14 this February against Lee Higgins.
MMAjunkie.com reported the match up on Wednesday.
Couture, the son of UFC Hall of Famer and multiple-time champion Randy Couture, debuted with the promotion at Strikeforce Challengers 10, defeating Lucas Stark via submission. He was originally set to return to action at Strikeforce Challengers 12 last November, but a staph infection forced him out of his fight with Juan Zapata.
Higgins, meanwhile, is ready to take on his third opponent as a professional, winning his first two fights in the first round. His debut in the sport came last November, when he defeated Kenny Burke by rear naked choke, and he followed up the win with another rear naked choke, defeating Gilbert Jimenez in December.
Strikeforce Challengers 14 is set for Cedar Park, Texas on February 18 and will be broadcast live on Showtime. The card will be headlined by a lightweight tilt between Lyle Beerbohm and Pat Healy, though no other fights have been announced as of yet.
