Bellator 36 Weigh-In Results: Kheder Out Of Tourney, Shockley In

Rob McCullough and Patricky Freire

Ferrid Kheder is out of the Bellator Season 4 Lightweight Tournament and is replaced by Josh Shockley.

Shockley, who originally planned to fight on the undercard, now faces Bellator veteran Toby Imada tomorrow night at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Indiana-native is undefeated with a 6-0-1 professional record.

“We’ve had high hopes for Josh since we signed him, this is a great opportunity for him,” said Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney. “He really doesn’t have anything to lose and that makes him a very dangerous fighter.”

It all went down at the Bellator 36 official weigh-ins Friday. Kheder failed to make weight and was removed from the tournament. His replacement and the rest of the eight-man tournament field successfully made weight.

On the undercard, Kalvin Hackney, who was scheduled to face Shockley, missed weight as well as Matt Hunt and Javon Duhon.

Bellator 36 features all the quarterfinal matches of the Bellator Season 4 Lightweight Tournament and airs live on MTV2.
