Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum peaks with 719,000 viewers
Last weekend’s “Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum” may not have featured an incredible main event, but that doesn’t mean the fans weren’t watching. Not only were they watching, but the number of viewers was the second largest in the history of the promotion on Showtime.
MMAjunkie.com reported the numbers earlier today.
The card featured a pair of heavyweight grand prix first round contests, including Alistair Overeem‘s less than stellar victory over Fabricio Werdum and Josh Barnett‘s utter dominance against Brett Rogers.
The average viewing audience came in at 624,000, while it peaked at 719,000 viewers. The average household rating was 1.7. The only broadcast to top this fight card was “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Silva.”
