Punk Payback with Bas Rutten Coming to Fuel TV in November

Charismatic MMA legend gives advice on avoiding real-life dangers in new series

If you’re a Bas Rutten fan, you’re going to be spending your Tuesday night’s tuned into Fuel TV this winter. The former UFC heavyweight champion and King of Pancrase is set to star in “Punk Payback.”

In each half-hour episode, “El Guapo” will use surveillance footage from actual events such as carjackings and robberies to teach viewers techniques they can use if they ever find themselves in a similar situation. For longtime fans of the charismatic Dutch fighter, “Punk Payback” will evoke memories of Rutten’s previous efforts to teach self-defense for similar situations.

The Bas Rutten’s Lethal Street Fighting Self Defence video series is legendary and an obvious precursor to Fuel TV’s new series. No word yet on whether Rutten will deliver a soundtrack of sound effects to the new series or if he’ll stick firm to his stance that, “everybody underestimates the kick in the groin.”

“You won’t see a show like this anywhere else on television,” says Bud Brutsman, CEO of Brentwood Communications International, Inc. (BCII) and Executive Producer. “Bas addresses some serious topics in this fast-paced series. But he’ll have fun with the situations as well.”

The first of the ten half-hour episodes debuts Wednesday, November 2 at 9:30PM ET/PT. Mark your calendars – you won’t want to miss it.
