Rothwell out of UFC on FOX 4 bout, Browne pulled
An injury has forced heavyweight Ben Rothwell out of his “UFC on FOX 4” main card contest against Travis Browne.
MMAjunkie.com reported news of the injury.
“UFC on FOX 4” takes place on August 4 in Los Angeles, California, featuring a light heavyweight bout between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Brandon Vera.
Following the injury news, MMAFighting.com reported that Devin Cole would replace Rothwell on the main card, which will broadcast live on FOX. However, UFC officials have since elected to remove Browne from the card, as well.
In place of the heavyweight tilt, welterweights Mike Swick and DaMarques Johnson will meet on the televised main card. The promotion announced the fight’s promotion yesterday evening.
