“Jacare,” Rousey top fighter salaries
Former Strikeforce middleweight champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza was the highest paid fighter from last weekend’s “Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman” event.
MMAWeekly.com was first to reveal the numbers, which they acquired from the California State Athletic Commission.
The man nicknamed “Jacare” earned a cool $94,000 for his victory over Derek Brunson in the evening’s co-main event.
Main event winner Ronda Rousey walked away with a $40,000 check for her submission win over Sarah Kaufman.
