“UFC on FOX 4” preliminary card ratings

The preliminary card broadcast of “UFC on FOX 4” drew an average of 194,000 on FUEL TV last Saturday night.

MMAjunkie.com reported the news earlier today after learning of the numbers from industry sources.

The event took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on August 4 and featured a light heavyweight main event between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Brandon Vera.

Unfortunately, the main card broadcast did not draw a significant amount of viewers, unlike the preliminary card broadcast. The prelims set a new high mark for a broadcast of its kind on FUEL TV, as it was the most-watched preliminary card broadcast on the channel since the UFC began being featured in its programming.

In fact, it crushed the former most-watched preliminary card broadcast, which was for “UFC on FX 1.” That preliminary card special drew 148,000 viewers.

The preliminary card broadcast featured six total fights, including three which ended via stoppage. However, it also included a no contest as a result of an accidental eye poke from Phil Davis to Wagner Prado.
