Laconia Motorcycle Week is a motorcycle rally held annually in Laconia, New Hampshire. The rally has its origin in the Loudon Classic motorcycle race started in 1923 and the Gypsy tour, where motorcyclists passed through Laconia. Today, it is one of the oldest rallys in the United States and attracts riders from all over.
I usually ride my 1974 Moto Guzzi Eldorado Police up from New York, but have chosen to trailer (gasp) two bikes for a little more variety this year. I’m taking a 2008 Honda CRF450X and 2006 Ducati Paul Smart. The first is a little country and the other’s a little bit rock and roll. I’m looking forward to some great rides including the Kancamagus Highway, but will be attending all the major events. Stay tuned for coverage from the US Vintage Motorcycle Grand Prix at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and the Hill Climb Drag Races at Gunstock. I’ll also be visiting Walt Siegl, one of our favorie custom bike builders. In all, it’s shaping up to be an extraordinary week. Hope to see everyone there.
