Azealia Banks is no stranger to controversy. The Harlem rapper has a long, storied history of beefing with other artists, from Zayn Malik and actor Russell Crowe to politician Sarah Palin and, most recently, Lana Del Rey.

With that in mind, her involvement in the current beef between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma seemed inevitable. Banks took to social media on Sunday night, tweeting and deleting her way through a rant that included shots at Minaj and an overall assessment on how the beef should be handled. Banks and Minaj have a past together, though it has mostly consisted of the former taunting Minaj without much of a response.

“I bet Nicki will do something p*ssy like call the cops on Remy. She’s evil enough to try and set Remy up like that,” Banks wrote, before going to even stranger places with comments like “Soon you’ll be knocking on my door trying to buy pieces of your soul back. lol KEEP IT UP.” Banks, known for her fascination with witchcraft, said she “literally just put her energy in a bottle” and that she’ll “using it for FANTASEA,” in reference to her upcoming album Fantasea II: The Second Wave.

Banks mentioned how smart she was and that she won’t play into Minaj’s supposed plan of “retaliation.” Check out all of the deleted messages below.

According to Power 105.1, the rant could also have to do with the fact that Minaj’s lyrics in “Same Love” were actually intended for Banks, and not Remy Ma, as was originally thought. Check out the Minaj song and an Instagram breakdown of this theory below.
