The Eagles cut Ross (undisclosed) from the practice squad Tuesday. Ross has been on the Eagles' practice-squad injured list since Oct. 21 due to an undisclosed injury. Now that he's been let go, the veteran wide receiver will have a chance to sign with another team once he's fully healthy. Ross' last full season was in 2021 with the Giants, when he logged 11 catches (on 20 targets) for 224 yards and one touchdown across 10 regular-season games.

Let go by Philadelphia
The Eagles cut Ross (undisclosed) from the practice squad Tuesday. Ross has been on the Eagles' practice-squad injured list since Oct. 21 due to an undisclosed injury. Now that he's been let go, the veteran wide receiver will have a chance to sign with another team once he's fully healthy. Ross' last full season was in 2021 with the Giants, when he logged 11 catches (on 20 targets) for 224 yards and one touchdown across 10 regular-season games.
Dealing with injury
The Eagles placed Ross (undisclosed) on their practice squad injured list Monday. The 2017 first-round pick has appeared in one game for Philadelphia this season, catching one of his two targets for six yards across 11 offensive snaps. After being placed on the Eagles' practice squad injured list, Ross will be forced to miss the team's next four games, with his earliest possible return coming in Week 12 against the Rams.
Back to practice squad
Ross reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Elevated for Sunday's game against the Bucs, Ross played 12 offensive snaps for the Eagles and caught one of two targets for six yards as the fourth wideout with A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) out.
Elevated Saturday
The Eagles elevated Ross to their active roster Saturday. Ross was elevated alongside Parris Campbell in order to provide depth to the Eagles' wide receiver room, as both A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) have been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Buccaneers. Expect Ross to play behind Campbell, Jahan Dotson and Johnny Wilson in Week 4.
Joins Philly's practice squad
The Eagles signed Ross to the practice squad Tuesday. Ross spent time with Philadelphia during the preseason, so he already boasts some familiarity with the offensive scheme. With top wideouts A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) both injured entering Week 4, Ross could be a candidate for elevation for Sunday's road matchup against the Buccaneers.
Released by Eagles
Ross was released by the Eagles on Tuesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Ross was able to reel in four catches for 37 yards while also logging two kickoff returns for 68 yards during the preseason with Philadelphia. The wide receiver hasn't appeared in an NFL contest since 2021 with the Giants, and he'll now likely look for another opportunity elsewhere.
Concussion confirmed
Ross exited Thursday night's preseason game against the Patriots with a concussion and will not return, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Ross caught one of his two targets for nine yards prior to getting injured. It's the veteran wideout's lone catch of the preseason to date, and now he'll have to pass through the league's protocol if he's going to be cleared in time for the preseason finale versus Green Bay on Aug. 24.
Possible concussion
Ross is being examined for a concussion during the Eagles' preseason game against the Patriots on Thursday, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Ross has one catch for nine yards in the game. The wide receiver is competing for the Eagles' third wide receiver role behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
Seeing first-team work
Ross was spotted working with the Eagles' first-team offense Thursday, Brandon Lee Gowton of BGN Radio reports. Parris Campbell worked as the Eagles' No. 3 wide receiver during the team's first day of camp, but it now appears that Ross will get a shot to compete for that spot as well. The 28-year-old wideout's most recent in-game action came back in 2021 with the Giants, when he recorded 11 receptions for 224 yards and one touchdown across 12 games (203 offensive snaps). Philadelphia has been in search of a third wide receiver for quite a long time, and it seems as if Ross could have the opportunity to take that role.
