No. 5 Auburn dominated No. 15 LSU 41-7 in Auburn’s largest margin-of-victory ever over LSU. It also avenged last season’s only regular-season loss for Auburn.

Auburn Dominates 1st Half

Auburn completely dominated LSU for the first half, and took a 31-7 lead into the locker room. Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall completely picked apart the LSU defense, throwing for two touchdowns and running for two more.

Auburn built a 21-0 lead in the first quarter, before LSU finally scored at the end of the quarter.

Auburn then added one more touchdown and one field goal in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, LSU quarterback Brandon Harris, who is making his first career start, has struggled against Auburn’s defense.

Auburn Backups Get Work In Second Half

After building a huge lead in the first half, Auburn was able to just coast and play some of the backups in the second half.

Auburn extended their lead when kicker Dan Carlson hit a 42-yard field goal in the third quarter. Then, in the fourth quarter, Corey Grant ran for a 12-yard touchdown.

In a matchup of two of the SEC West’s best teams, No. 5 Auburn will host No. 15 LSU. LSU QB Brandon Harris will be making his career start, while Auburn is looking to get a key SEC West victory in defense of last year’s title.
