On Monday, Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry officially received the news that he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma.
After the Chiefs placed Berry on the non-football illness list that ended his season after November 20 game against the Oakland Raiders, he went for further testing on the initial mass in his chest at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta — the hospital through Winship is ranked among the top 25 cancer hospitals in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report.

The cancer is very treatable and Berry will begin treatment almost immediately.
