It doesn’t get any bigger than this in NASCAR.
I’m talking about the Daytona 500, of course.
The 57th edition of “The Great American Race” will kick off the Sprint Cup season on Sunday, February 22, from Daytona International Speedway.
Jeff Gordon is on the pole in his final Daytona 500. Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson is joining him in the front row.
The rest of the positions will be set after Thursday night’s Daytona Duels, which begin at 7 p.m. Eastern on Fox Sports 1.
Gordon, a 3-time Daytona winner, might be on the pole, but reigning champ Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the favorite with 15/2 odds to win, according to Bovada. Gordon is at 10/1.
