Defending Women’s World Cup champion Japan is a step closer to a repeat, advancing to the quarterfinals against Australia, which pulled off a 1-0 upset of Brazil.

Japan held off the Netherlands 2-1 to make it to the final 8.

The match is set for Saturday, June 27, from Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.
