The Arizona Cardinals and the Oakland Raiders face-off in the third preseason game in front of a national television audience on NBC. New Head Coach Jack Del Rio is trying to turn things around in Oakland. So far, the team has looked solid in preseason play. Del Rio has second-year quarterback Derek Carr to build around. Carr and rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper have played well together in the two games so far.
Despite playing in the vaunted NFC West, the Arizona Cardinals have been able to win and have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Cardinals fans are excited to see quarterback Carson Palmer back in action. Arizona was plagued by injuries last season, particularly at the quarterback position after losing Palmer and their backup quarterback to injuries.
Expect both teams to play their starters extended minutes as is the case for most teams during the third preseason game. Here is all the info you need to know about the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Oakland Raiders:

Arizona Cardinals Preview
The Cardinals are winless during the preseason but this is the first game where the starters are expected to play the majority of the game. Keep an eye on second-year receiver John Brown. Brown has top-end speed and Palmer has connected with him often in the preseason. The running back position is another thing to watch. Andre Ellington is expected to be the starter but rookie David Johnson could steal some carries.
Oakland Raiders Preview
The eyes of the nation will be on Amari Cooper. Cooper has had a nice preseason in limited action so it will be interesting to see what he does with extended minutes. Running back Latavius Murray has had a good preseason and is expected to be the week one starter. Derek Carr’s progression from the first to second year is also worth watching.
