Coming off a crushing Super Bowl defeat, and dealing with what is quickly turning into one of the ugliest holdout situations in recent memory, the Seattle Seahawks are ready to throw all the distractions to the side and play some football.
They’ll finally get to do that Sunday afternoon against an improving St. Louis Rams team.
While Seattle has been the better team over the last handful of years, the Rams always tend to give the ‘Hawks trouble at the Edward Jones Dome. Last year, some special teams trickery led the Rams to an upset victory, giving them two wins in the last three against Seattle at home.
This one should be similarly close. Although Seattle’s offense has some new shiny weapons in Jimmy Graham and electric rookie Tyler Lockett, the Rams counter with arguably the best defensive line in football. With injuries at running back and issues on the offensive line, scoring against the Seahawks’ cast of defensive studs (even without Kam Chancellor) may be difficult for the Rams, but their own defense should certainly keep them close. They are pegged as four-point underdogs.
Kickoff for this one is at 1 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on FOX in Seattle and St. Louis, as well as other select areas. Click here for a complete coverage map to see what game is being televised in your market. If you can’t get to a TV, here’s how to watch online and on mobile:
