Final Score

San Diego Chargers 3-7-7-3 — 20
Green Bay Packers  14-3-7-0— 27

The Chargers venture to Green Bay to take on the 5-0 Packers looking to keep their season alive. At 2-3, a loss may signal the end of playoff hopes, though the schedule does lighten up after this tough test.

The Packers lead the all-time series 9-1.

James Starks Had a Huge 1st Half for Green Bay

With Eddie Lacy in and out of the lineup due to an injury, reserve back James Starks ran wild in the first half to give the Packers the lead. He had a 65-yard touchdown run and a short touchdown catch as Green Bay jumped out to a 17-3 lead.

Philip Rivers Passed San Diego Back Into the Game

With the Packers threatening to blow out the visitors, Philip Rivers went into beast mode. He threw for more than 200 yards in the first half and hit 300 in the third quarter. He threw touchdown passes to Dontrelle Inman and Ladarius Green to tie the game in the third.

James Jones Caught Another TD Pass to Give Green Bay the Lead

James Jones caught his sixth touchdown in six games on this back-shoulder throw from Aaron Rodgers to give the Packers a 24-17 lead heading into the final quarter.

Preview: Chargers Look to Recover From Heartbreaking Loss

The line between winning and losing in the NFL is narrowly thin. The San Diego Chargers found this out last week as they lost a crucial game at home against the Steelers; one they dominated the second half.

A last-second Le’Veon Bell touchdown condemned the Chargers to a loss that dropped them to 2-3, a week after pulling out a 30-27 win against the Browns. Four of San Diego’s first five games have been decided by five points or less.

The Packers will look to end that run of form by blowing out the Chargers at Lambeau Field. Although the high-octane offense led by Aaron Rodgers hasn’t hit top gear in weeks, the defense has more than made up the difference.

Packers wide receiver Davante Adams will likely sit out this contest.
