Is College Gameday Going to the LSU-Alabama Game?

There was quite a delay in ESPN’s decision on where to send College Gameday in Week 9. Ultimately, Lee Corso and company ended up in Philadelphia in anticipation of the Notre Dame and Temple game. There is little doubt where Gameday is headed for Week 10.

ESPN has confirmed that they are headed to Tuscaloosa for the LSU and Alabama game.

Writer Will Weathers tweeted this out early on Saturday:

The two teams are both ranked in the top ten in the country. Each team will have a full two weeks to prepare as they will be coming off a bye. The game is reminiscent of the 2011 matchup that many were calling the new “Game of the Century”. The teams ended up playing a second time that season in the BCS Title Game.

LSU comes in as undefeated while Alabama lost earlier in the season to Ole Miss. The winner of the game will be in the driver’s seat to win the SEC West, but also will have a good chance of making it to the College Football Playoff.
