Who is playing in the World Series for 2015? The New York Mets and The Kansas City Royals are going head to head with the Royals having the home field advantage. Singing the National Anthem for Game 1 is Andy Grammer and the first game takes place at the Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
This is the Mets’ first appearance in the World Series since the year 2000, but it’s their fifth time participating in the World Series overall. As for the Royals, it is their second consecutive appearance in the World Series and fourth in general. Check out the game schedule below:

This is the first ever World Series where both of the teams are expansion teams, which means they are teams that were formed after the 1960 season. In the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II, the Chicago Cubs were depicted as the winners of the 2015 World Series.
