Liverpool vs. Bordeaux: Time, Channel, & Lineup

(Getty)

Liverpool hope their strong form continues over into European competition Thursday when they take on French side Bordeaux at Anfield. Brendan Rodgers was still the manager when these teams played to a 1-1 draw, and a win tonight would see Liverpool through to the knockout stage with one match remaining in group play.

Jurgen Klopp expects his side to play every match like the one on Saturday, when constant pressure stifled Manchester City during a 4-1 victory. They won’t get an exact repeat however, as Liverpool is missing key players from his lineup. Liverpool will be without Coutinho, Mamadou Sakho and Jordan Henderson, who are all dealing with short-term injuries.

Liverpool are unbeaten in three matches with Bordeaux, but they’ll get their best effort Thursday. A loss would spell the end for Bordeaux, who are winless in four Europa League matches this season.
