The Dolphins are losers of four of their previous five games, but find themselves a 3.5-point favorite over the Ravens Sunday, according to OddsShark.com. The Ravens are amazingly still in the playoff hunt, after injuries and close losses seemingly derailed their season.
The thread they hang on was nearly snapped Monday night, until Brent Urban made the biggest play of his one-game NFL career. The Ravens blocked field goal return for a touchdown was the most dramatic win of Week 12, but cover up what could’ve been an ugly loss to Cleveland.
Miami hasn’t turned things around since firing Joe Philbin, and made even more changes during the week. Offensive Coordinator Bill Lazor was fired this week, after mounting frustration at the team’s lack of a running game. The Dolphins totaled 12 yards on the ground against the Jets last week, the third-lowest mark in franchise history.
The Dolphins have ben awful against the spread this season, and it’s trending down in the season’s final month. Miami is 0-7 against the spread in their last seven games in December. Don’t expect the spread to hold up against the Ravens, who have had five games decided by three points or less this season.
The OddsShark computer is predicting a 19.8 – 24.7 Dolphins victory.
Ravens vs. Dolphins pick: Dolphins SU, Ravens ATS
