Ronda Rousey made her return to the spotlight tonight as the host of Saturday Night Live.
Many wondered if the 28-year-old, who was making her first real national appearance since her devastating loss to Holly Holm in November, would address that knockout defeat. And it didn’t take long for those questions to be answered, as Rousey joked about her loss within the first few seconds of her opening monologue.

Despite Rousey laughing at herself, many viewers weren’t all that impressed with her debut:
Rousey has a bit of acting experience, but being able to perform in front of a live audience is a bit of a different monster. As a result, she had a lot of help in her opening monologue from Kenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon.
She also got a chance to show off her dance moves:
There have been a lot of athletes who have impressed during their time on SNL, and it will be interesting to see if Rousey can stack up against some of those performances.
