Manchester United vs. Sunderland: Time, Channel & Lineup

(Getty)

Manchester United have a great opportunity to climb the table Saturday, when they head to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland. All the clubs ahead of United will be facing each other, while LVG’s men will face a club fighting the relegation battle. Three points would go a long way for the club, who are six points behind Manchester City and a top-four that is distancing from the pack.

Sunderland are four points deep in relegation and in danger of being sent down, but they haven’t been terrible in recent matches. Veteran striker Jermain Defoe has returned to England in good form, having already scored six goals in 2016. They played well enough to earn a point in a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in their last home appearance, and played Liverpool to a draw in their previous match. Form aside United has never lost at the Stadium of Light, going 9-4-0 in 13 appearances.
