Neither Villanova nor Oklahoma were awarded a No. 1 seed for the NCAA tournament, but both have certainly looked like one en route to the Final Four.
The Wildcats steam-rolled their first three opponents before knocking off Kansas, the perceived favorite to cut down the nets in Houston. The Sooners, led by the transcendent Buddy Hield, have looked unstoppable on offense, scoring 324 points on 279 possessions for a ridiculous offensive efficiency of 116.1.
It’s a shame either has to lose, but that’s typically the case in the Final Four.
