Costa Rica vs. Paraguay: Time, Channel & Lineup

(Getty)

After defeating USA in the opener, Colombia have opened the door for Group A’s smaller teams. Costa Rica and Paraguay can both play spoiler to the host nation, but the one who takes three points on Saturday will be in the best shape moving forward.

Costa Rica reached the World Cup quarterfinal in 2010, and are sporting their highest-ever FIFA World Ranking (23). But Los Ticos will be without Keylor Navas for this tournament, and a defensive-minded club isn’t the same without their world-class keeper. Still, manager Oscar Ramirez has guided the team to wins in seven of their last 10 appearances.

The same can’t be said for Paraguay, who have won just one of their last six matches. The team has some star talent brewing in the wings, and are looking to improve on last year’s fourth-place finish. But there’s not much experience, as keeper Justo Villar and defender Paulo de Silva are the only members of the roster with over 100 international caps.
