Defending champions Spain have already clinched their way into the knockout rounds, shutting out both Turkey and Czech Republic for six points. In the group finale they take on Croatia, who will likely advance as the runner-up but should be a tough out for their next opponent.
Croatia grinded out a 1-0 win over Turkey, and came from 2-0 behind to draw Czech Republic. A win over Spain would put them at the top of the group, and would also give Spain their first Euro loss since 2008.
And then there’s Czech Republic. Three points over Croatia surely would’ve seen them through, but the blown lead leaves them with just one point heading into Tuesday. While two points may strangely be enough to advance as a third-place qualifier, a win over Turkey in the finale would likely see them through.
Here’s a look at the current standings.
