Mexico vs. Chile: Time, Channel & Lineup

(Getty)

Mexico and Chile have their final friendly before Copa America Centenario Wednesday night at Qualcomm Stadium. Chile are defending champions of this competition, but a loss to Jamaica earlier this week casts doubt on Las Rojas. Against Mexico they will see the return of Bayern Munich Arturo Vidal, who could provide a boost to the squad ahead of their opening match.

With a positive result tonight, Mexico will enter Copa America riding a 19-match unbeaten streak. That run stretches back to last year’s Copa America, when Mexico disappointingly failed to advance out of their group. This year they face a much easier group, and should advance to the knockout stage barring any surprises from Jamaica.

When the tournament finally does start, Mexico will open group play against Uruguay. Chile will open against Argentina in an early rematch of last year’s Copa final.
