WWE Monday Night Raw: The Reactions You Need to See

Last night’s Monday Night Raw was a strange one. On the one hand, we had an incredible A.J. Styles/John Cena promo that left everyone more hyped than ever for Money in the Bank. On the other hand, there were weird moments like that hilarious opening segment, Teddy Long wandering around and being escorted out by security, and enough meta jokes to make the online fan community go completely insane.

Here are all the reactions you need to see to this week’s episode of Raw.

The opening segment was quite bizarre but well-received among the WWE community: all six of the Money in the Bank participants sat on ladders and bad-mouthed each other for several minutes before Teddy Long appeared out of absolutely nowhere.

Fans also expressed their love for Chris Jericho and his role in that opening sequence, as well as his match against Cesaro shortly after the segment ended.

For whatever reason, neither Seth Rollins nor Roman Reigns actually appeared during the episode, but two video packages were shown summarizing their journey to the upcoming Money in the Bank showdown. Needless to say, most viewers were on Rollins’ side.

Jack Swagger got a match against Rusev, and the crowd both in Oklahoma City and on Twitter was pretty into it.

Soon enough, we got to the most exciting moment of the episode: the confrontation between A.J. Styles and John Cena following Styles’ sudden heel turn last week.

In a super meta moment, A.J. Styles said he went after Cena with the help of the Club because Cena buries guys like him.

Cena also referenced that only once has he had so much electricity with another wrestler: The Rock. He seems to be conveniently forgetting one C.M. Punk, there. Poor Punk.

Next up, Enzo and Cass took on the Vaudevillains, with the Vaudevillains winning by disqualification.

Viewers weren’t quite digging that Charlotte segment, though.

Sasha Banks even offered this hilarious and passive aggressive tweet as it was happening.

Golden Truth fought Breezango, and lots of Twitter users questioned where this feud is going.

Finally, John Cena teamed up with New Day, teasing a potential alliance against The Club.
