Arsenal vs. Liverpool: Time, Channel & Lineup

(Getty)

It may be their first outing of the new Premier League season, but Arsenal are hobbling into Sunday’s contest with Liverpool. Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck are down up front, and Arsene Wenger is down three defenders before Arsenal have played a single game in their domestic campaign. Liverpool are more prepared for their first full season under Jurgen Klopp, though both Daniel Sturridge and James Milner will likely both be absent. That means it could be a debut for Sadio Mane, who transferred from Southampton earlier this summer.

Even with injuries, Arsenal’s home-field advantage could swing the momentum in their favor. Arsenal have only lost twice in their last 15 opening day home games, and Liverpool have only won once in their last 20 trips to Emirates Stadium.
