Landry Jones makes his third NFL start this Sunday when the Steelers host the Patriots. What was billed as a future postseason matchup has been somewhat dampened, as Ben Roethlisberger’s knee injury will keep him on Pittsburgh’s sidelines for the near future.
The Patriots have won two games easily with Tom Brady back in action, and look to continue the streak at Heinz Field. New England hasn’t won in Pittsburgh during the regular season since 2011, but this will be their first game against backup Landry Jones.
With the Steelers shorthanded, expect a big day from the Patriots offense. The Steelers have struggled against the pass this season, and should be on the field for longer than usual without a consistent offense.
It’s the national game for CBS, meaning everyone in the country will be able to watch Steelers-Patriots on CBS.
