Game Preview: After Cowboys-Redskins deliver the main course, a Luck-Roethlisberger showdown was scheduled to be the perfect NFL Thanksgiving dessert. But now that Andrew Luck is out with a concussion, only one team may be feeling sweet on Thursday night.
The Steelers have blown out the Colts in each of the last two meetings, winning by a combined score of 96-44. That included over 1,100 yards of offense from Pittsburgh, and that stat isn’t affected by Andrew Luck. Former Packer and Wisconsin Badger Scott Tolzien will start for the Colts, his first NFL start since 2013.
In both of the previous meetings, both the Steelers and Colts were in charge of their respective divisions. That isn’t the case this year, and both teams could use a victory this week to force themselves back into the playoff race. The Steelers are tied with the Ravens in the AFC North, but the tiebreaker belongs to Baltimore. The Colts are one game behind the Texans, but caught a huge break on Monday as Houston collapsed late against the Raiders.
