Spurs vs. Chelsea: Time, Channel & Lineup

(Getty)

The Premier League leaders head to White Hart Lane on Wednesday for the first big fixture of 2017. Ten points currently separate Chelsea and Spurs in the standings, and both teams take unbeaten streaks into the contest.

Nobody ended 2016 on better form than Chelsea, and they’ll look to continue their success on Wednesday. Antonio Conte has turned the Blues into a defensive powerhouse, and they’ve conceded just 13 goals in 19 league matches. A win over Spurs would give them 14 straight wins, setting a new club record.

Tottenham missed several players in a Boxing Day win over Watford in their last outing, but they should all return for this one. Mousa Dembele will be back in the lineup, as should Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen. The latter two players were suspended for the previous match, and should bring a defensive boost to Spurs against a white-hot Chelsea attack.

Chelsea have scored seven goals in their last two outings, but those were within the friendly confines of Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have been much more stoic on the road this season, winning each of their last two away fixtures by a 1-0 scoreline.
