The NFL Pro Bowl features the top players from this past season. The game kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.
Here’s the details for tonight’s game.
Date: Sunday, January 29, 2017
Time: 8:00 p.m. Eastern
Location: Camping World Stadium, Orlando, Florida
TV Channel: ESPN
Game Preview: This year, the Pro Bowl moves back to its traditional format of the teams being split up based on conference as the AFC will take on the NFC. Another change is the location. Today’s game will take place in Orlando instead of Hawaii.
Other than that, fans can expect a similar game that they are used to seeing. That means the teams will put up a lot of points without much resistance from the defense. The forceful hits that have become a signature part of the NFL during the season will largely be absent from tonight’s game.
Since it is more of an exhibition game, the intensity tends to be a lot different in the Pro Bowl. There is an unwritten rule that defensive players will avoid tackling players hard to prevent serious injuries in a game that does not impact the standings.
For the AFC, Demaryius Thomas, DeMarco Murray, Melvin Gordon and Andy Dalton lead team’s offense. The NFC has an impressive level of talent at both receiver and quarterback. Dez Bryant, Odell Beckham Jr. and Larry Fitzgerald highlight the wide receiving unit. The NFC quarterbacks include Dak Prescott and Drew Brees.
