Bayern Munich vs. Arsenal: Time, Channel & Lineup

(Getty)

Arsenal look to avoid a familiar fate when they head to Germany on Wednesday.

The Gunners have experienced minor Champions League sucess, but have been knocked out at this point of the competition in each of the last six seasons. Two of those exits were at the hands of Bayern, who have eliminated Arsenal three times since 2005.

Both teams will look to star strikers up top to make the difference. Robert Lewandowski has scored five Champions League goals already this season, and Olivier Giroud will need a big game for Arsenal with Lucas Perez sidelined.

Bayern are once again atop the Bundesliga, and they’ve only conceded 12 goals in 20 league matches. Bayern should get Xabi Alonso back on the field for Wednesday’s match, but Jerome Boateng and Franck Ribery are both likely to sit this one out.

For Arsenal, David Ospina will start in goal. Ospina started all six games in the group stage, and the Colombian allowed only six goals during the group stage.
