The Elimination Chamber 2017 pay-per-view is about to begin on the WWE Network. How long will this event be, exactly? When can we expect it to wrap up?
Elimination Chamber will be three hours long, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time and concluding at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time. However, that isn’t factoring in the pre-show, which starts at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The Elimination Chamber pre-show will only feature one match: Mojo Rawley vs. Curt Hawkins. That will be in addition to a preview of the night’s events from the commentary team and some promotional packages.
Because this is a SmackDown Live branded pay-per-view, a special episode of Talking Smack will take place at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time, immediately following the main show.
The Elimination Chamber match itself will likely come towards the very end of the pay-per-view, although we technically don’t know the order of the matches, and in prior years, the Elimination Chamber match has often not aired at the end of the show. In 2015, the Elimination Chamber match came one hour and 45 minutes into the event; in 2014, it came at the very end; in 2013, it came about 40 minutes in; and in 2012, it was the first match of the evening.
This is all to say that if you see the Elimination Chamber match wrapping up and are confused because you thought the pay-per-view was supposed to go on for much longer, don’t worry; the show will still end at 11, but the Elimination Chamber match may be over long before that.
Another hugely significant match on the card tonight is Luke Harper vs. Randy Orton, and so that may be what the pay-per-view ends on rather than the Elimination Chamber match itself, especially if Bray Wyatt potentially winning the WWE Championship will have an impact on the outcome of the Harper vs. Orton match.
Also on the card for tonight are matches between Nikki Bella and Natalya, Alexa Bliss and Naomi, Becky Lynch and Mickie James, and Apollo Crews, Kalisto and Dolph Ziggler. There will also be a tag team turmoil match between American Alpha, Heath Slater and Rhyno, Breezango, The Usos, The Ascension, and The Vaudevillains.
