Leonard Fournette 40 Time & Video at NFL Combine

Fournette ran a 4.51 in his first run and followed it up with a 4.52. The times are unofficial until the NFL releases the official times after the running backs complete their workouts.

It was an impressive performance for a running back of Fournettte’s size. Fournette passed on competing in the broad jump but plans on participating at his pro day. He had a 28.5″ vertical jump at the Combine which was a lower number than expected.

There was a lot of intrigue over Fournette’s 40 time for several reasons. He was measured at 6 feet tall and 240 pounds. His weight was about five pounds heavier than expected leaving many to wonder if it will have an impact on how fast he runs.

Fournette is known as a physical runner and many had questions about his speed. He seemed to answer those questions in a big way at the Combine.

He declined to participate in the bench press drill noting he would bench at his pro day.

Fournette is competing with Dalvin Cook to be the first running back off the board in April’s draft. Heavy has Fournette going 4th to the Jaguars in our latest mock draft.

Fournette rushed for 843 yards and eight touchdowns his junior year at LSU. It was the lowest of his career, but Fournette missed six games because of injuries. He rushed for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns his sophomore season.
