MLB Power Rankings: Week 2

No. 6 Chicago Cubs

Standings: 6-5 (2nd in NL Central)

Last Week's Ranking: 4th

Outlook: The Cubs' record may not look as impressive as some other teams in the league but Chicago won their first three series. Last week, the Cubs were able to take two of three games against the Dodgers. Jake Arrieta won his first two starts with a 2.08 ERA and 16 strikeouts. John Lackey and Jon Lester have also started well with a combined 31 strikeouts over the first two weeks of the season. This week, the Cubs host the Brewers then travel to Cincinnati to take on the Reds. While the Cubs hitting continues to come along, Jason Heyward has had a strong start hitting .294 with 10 hits.
