NBA Mock Draft 2017: Predictions After Simulated Lottery

No. 2 Los Angeles Lakers: PG Lonzo Ball

School: UCLA

Position: Point Guard

Size: 6'6"/190 pounds

Class: Freshman

2016-17 Stats: 14.6 ppg, 7.6 apg, 6.0 rpg, .551 FG%, .412 3P%

Outlook: Ball gets his wish and lands with the Lakers as Los Angeles moves up a spot in the simulation. Ball made the media rounds once the season was completed. He is doing his part to vouch for his ability over Fultz's skills. "Markelle's a great player, but I feel I'm better than him. I think I can lead a team better than him," Ball told ESPN. "Obviously he's a great scorer -he's a great player, so I'm not taking that away from him." Ball is more of a traditional point guard than Fultz and does have the edge when it comes to court vision (this does not mean Fultz is not a great passer). Fans will find out in about two months what NBA teams think when it comes to choosing between the two prospects. (Getty)
