Why It Works: One of the things you notice in the third round is the amount of talent still on the board. USC wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is tempting, and- if I had it to do over again- Smith-Schuster might be the pick. The challenge is Dallas is not desperate for a wide receiver, and the Cowboys enter this draft with big needs to fill on the defensive side. Bowser is a player that could slide into the second round. College football fans know that Houston's defense, at least at start of the season, was nasty with several players that will be on NFL rosters this fall. Bowser finished with 8.5 sacks last season along with 47 tackles. If the draft plays out in any way like this, there is plenty of top talent sitting where the Cowboys draft in the third round. (Getty)
