The purse for the 2017 Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina is $5.8 million. The winner of the tournament will receive $1.044 million and second place will take home $626,400. The last place finisher will earn around $11,600.
The purse last year was slightly smaller at $5.6 million. Last year’s winner, Si Woo Kim, took home $1.008 million.
Last week’s PGA Championship, which is the second highest of all tournaments, had a total purse of $10.5 million. Winner Justin Thomas took home $1.89 million for his first place finish.
