It’s a fairly busy night in the NBA, but one game stands above in the rest in terms of quality: Golden State Warriors vs. Washington Wizards.
Tip is scheduled for about 10:40 p.m. ET and will be broadcast locally on NBC Sports Washington (Wizards market), NBC Sports Bay Area (Warriors market) and NBA TV (national broadcast). Depending on your location, your options for watching a live stream of the game will be different.

If you enjoy watching the basketball go through the rim, this is the game for you. The Warriors currently rank first in the NBA–no surprise there–with 117.6 points per 100 possessions, while the Wizards are 12th (104.8). The over/under sits at an absurd 231 points, which is far and away higher than any other game on Friday’s slate.
Those same odds favor the Dubs by 11.5 points, which is pretty much going to be the case anytime they’re at home, but it wouldn’t be surprising if this one turns out to be a lot closer than that.
Among lineups that have played at least 40 minutes together so far this season, the Warriors’ starters–Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, Zaza Pachulia–rank second in the NBA in net rating at 17.8. But the Wizards’ starters–John Wall, Bradley Beal, Kelly Oubre, Otto Porter, Marcin Gortat–aren’t far behind. They rank third, with a net rating of 15.8.
A large reason that Wizards lineup has been so efficient is its defensive ability. With John Wall’s quickness at point guard, and Porter and Oubre’s length on the wing, that lineup is allowing just 95 points per 100 possessions. It’s going to be really interesting to see how they match up against the Warriors starters, who are pouring in 120.3 points per 100 possessions.
Golden State’s superior bench and depth should ultimately be enough for the Warriors to earn the victory, but this is still nevertheless a must-watch matchup between two teams with Finals aspirations.
