Getty Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift are going strong, and a new report indicated they'd like to adopt.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift are in a relationship together and seem to be going strong, and they could be looking to adopt and add to their family in the future.

Swift, of course, is a cat lover and even appeared on the cover of Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” issue with a cat. Now, a new report states that Kelce and Swift would like to adopt a rescue kitten together.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Tell Friends of a Wish: Report

In an October 25 feature, Life & Style reports that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are “open with pals about expanding their family” and note that it’s “with a new fur baby.”

“The superstar’s beloved cats have given her man their unconditional blessing and it’s made the couple want to add another kitten to the mix,” a source exclusively told Life & Style.

“It took a while but the cats love Travis now and he loves them,” the source told Life & Style regarding the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. “He’s become a very proud cat dad and he and Taylor are now saying they want to get a new kitten to raise together.”

The insider added that Kelce and Swift “want to adopt a rescue kitten.”

“They love the idea of saving a cat’s life and know there are so many in need,” the insider told Life & Style. “They get a lot of pleasure doting on the cats together. They love snuggling up with them and Travis has set up all sorts of scratching posts in the house for them.” They added, “He’s always buying them new toys and is even planning to build them a cat patio so they can have outdoor time without having to risk them getting lost or worse.”

That’ll be one lucky cat.

Taylor Swift Has Made Her Love of Cats Known

When Swift was named Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” for 2023, the interviewer wrote about Swift’s cat being around during the interview.

“Swift and I have been talking for a while now at her apartment, long enough that our coffees have gone cold and her cat Benjamin Button has trundled into the room, then gotten bored and left,” Sam Lansky stated in the December 6, 2023 feature.

According to Time, the idea for the Swift photo with her cat came from Inez and Vinoodh, the two photographers who shot the cover, and was inspired by a 1970s photography book of celebrities with their cats. Swift made a splash about the cat photo when the cover came out, sending a message out on X stating, “Time Magazine: We’d like to name you Person of the Yea- Me: Can I bring my cat.”

Also in the Time interview, Swift talked about how turning 33 was a “breakthrough” time for her. Swift will turn 35 on December 13.

“It feels like the breakthrough moment of my career, happening at 33,” she said. “And for the first time in my life, I was mentally tough enough to take what comes with that.”

Swift is set to continue on her Eras Tour with stops in New Orleans, Indianapolis and Toronto before closing out the tour in Vancouver, Canada, in December. Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will go up against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, October 27, on the road.
