Palhares, Drwal Set for UFC 111

Verbal agreements are in for a middleweight bout between submission expert Rousimar Palhares and Thomasz Drwal at UFC 111. The report was originally issued by MMA Junkie, and Heavy.com has confirmed with sources close to the UFC that bout agreements will be finalized in the coming days.

UFC 111 is headlined by a pair of title fights. Georges St. Pierre will defend his welterweight title against Dan Hardy in the main event, and Frank Mir and Shane Carwin will meet for the interim heavyweight championship.

Palhares last appeared at UFC 107 in December, submitting former M-1 standout Lucio Linhares. Palhares has only suffered one defeat since coming to the UFC, losing to former UFC and current Strikeforce star Dan Henderson at UFC 88.

Drwal, a heavy-handed slugger, last appeared in victory over Drew McFedries during a Spike-televised bout in September at UFC 103.
