How to Watch Cowboys Game Without Cable

Dak Prescott

Getty Dak Prescott looks for big things in 2022.

The Dallas Cowboys enter the season with high expectations as the season kicks off.

If you don’t have cable and you live in the Cowboys market, you can watch a live stream of every televised game (one game will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video) on FuboTV or DirecTV Stream, which both include CBS, Fox, NBC and ESPN and come with a free trial.

Those are the two best options if you’re cutting cable, but there are some other alternatives, including some for out-of-market viewers, so here’s a full guide on the different ways to watch Cowboys games streaming live online in 2022:

SundayTicket.TV

You can watch a live stream of every out-of-market, non-nationally televised NFL game via SundayTicket.TV. Unfortunately, the service is only available for people who live in residences where DirecTV Satellite isn’t available (apartments, condos, etc.), residents of a few select metropolitan cities or college students. You can check your eligibility and sign up here:

Get SundayTicket.TV

This is different from “DirecTV Stream,” which is a live-streaming service that comes with no contract and doesn’t offer Sunday Ticket in any of its packages.

DirecTV Satellite is a cable option, which comes with a contract, but it’s worth mentioning here because for many people, it’s the only way to get Sunday Ticket and watch live out-of-market games in the United States. Sunday Ticket is currently included at no extra cost with the “Choice” ($69.99 per month) and above TV bundles:

Dallas Cowboys 2022 Season Preview

Mired in a nearly three-decade long Super Bowl drought, the Dallas Cowboys hope to make this the season that the drought ends.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott returns to make another run with the team in hopes to lead the team to its first Super Bowl since the 1995 season. The Cowboys lost a few key players in the offseason but also made some strong acquisitions to improve the roster.

“Where we are right now, it’s all excitement. It is,” Prescott said via ESPN’s Todd Archer. “It’s truly a privilege to be the quarterback of this team, to be a leader of these guys, offense, defense, this coaching staff that we have. And yeah, especially with everything being said about us — you know what I mean? — the lack of what we have, keep writing, keep talking. We’re ready to go play.”

Dallas has enjoyed the benefit of a weak NFC East Division in recent years, but division rivals could give the Cowboys some trouble this year. The Philadelphia Eagles look to build on a much-improved 2021 season, while the New York Giants and Washington Commanders made changes to improve their respective rosters.

Offensive Outlook

Prescott threw for 4,449 yards and 37 touchdowns versus 10 interceptions last year as he led one of the league’s highest-scoring offenses.

He has 1,000-yard running back Ezekiel Elliott behind him along with reliable running back Tony Pollard, who had 719 yards last season. The Cowboys has plenty of talent at wide receiver in CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, and Jalen Tolbert despite the departure of Amari Cooper.

Tight end Dalton Schultz also gives Prescott a reliable target. Schultz caught 78 passes for 808 yards and eight touchdowns last season.

Dallas has some significant changes on the offensive line, especially with the injury to Tyron Smith. The Cowboys also cut tackle La’el Collins. Zach Martin, meanwhile, remains one of the better linemen in the league for the Cowboys.

Defensive Outlook

The Cowboys have talent up front DeMarcus Lawrence and Dorance Armstrong Jr. Linebacker Micah Parson proved he can play as a rookie last year, and the Cowboys added Anthony Barr to the linebacking corps.

Dallas’ secondary has quality with Malik Hooker, Trevon Diggs, Anthony Brown, and Jayron Kearse.

Special Teams Outlook

Kicker Brett Maher and punter Bryan Anger will help the special teams set the Cowboys up for success in 2022. Cowboys kick and punter returner KaVonte Turpin will look to set the team up with good field position.
